Job summary

Keystone Group, based in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, seeks an experienced Operations Director to lead the manufacturing and operational function for IG Masonry Support. This senior role covers production, transport, people, processes, quality, safety and continuous improvement across multiple sites and shifts.

You will develop and deliver the operational strategy, ensuring resources, technology and capabilities align with growth and long-term objectives, while managing budgets and driving

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience in manufacturing/production.
• Experience leading multi-site or multi-shift operations.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the operational strategy to support business objectives and scalability.
• Lead manufacturing and transport operations across multiple sites and shifts, ensuring safe, efficient production.
• Oversee end-to-end production, optimising labour, materials, equipment, capacity and resources.
• Lead Production and Transport Management teams, driving high performance and accountability.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to improve productivity, quality, service, yield and cost.
• Ensure Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, and regulatory compliance across operations (ISO 9001/14001, CE, Eurocodes).
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, waste reduction and process optimisation.
• Lead organisational change and new product introductions with R&D and wider teams.
• Manage budgets, workforce planning and investment, identifying cost savings.
