Job summary

Platform Recruitment is seeking a Production Engineer to join an established electro-mechanical product developer in Cambridgeshire. The role focuses on improving manufacturing processes, developing test solutions and ensuring efficient build and test of products.

You will work closely with R&D, Production and Operations to support NPI and design reviews while delivering robust test and assembly documentation.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND/BEng in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in production, test or electronics engineering.
• Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics.
• Ability to read circuit schematics.
• Hands-on electronics assembly and prototyping skills.
• Test fixture or production equipment experience.
• Basic CAD skills advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain production test fixtures
• Support functional testing of electro-mechanical products
• Install and commission test equipment at external manufacturing partners
• Develop build sequences, tooling and production aids
• Support NPI and design reviews
• Produce test, assembly and manufacturing documentation
• Work closely with R&D, Production and Operations
