Job Description for Production Engineer

Headquartered in Malvern, PA, CPI employs over 2,500 associates globally, with multiple manufacturing sites, offices, and service branches.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Production Engineer, you will develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure products are produced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Your responsibilities include:

  • Defining, implementing, and improving standard work in production cells.
  • Designing and implementing production jigs, fixtures, and tools.
  • Maintaining TPM standards, calibration systems, and SOP documentation.
  • Providing support and training to technicians and auditors.
  • Leading innovation projects, productivity improvements, NPI, CAPEX, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Managing documentation, BOMs, cycle times in SAP, and engineering changes.
  • Supporting quality metrics, root cause analysis, and technology integration.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • HND/Degree in Mechanical, Production, Electronic, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience in electronics or automotive industries is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of plastics, machine shop, PCBs, pneumatics, control systems, CAD, SAP, and quality systems.
  • Lean Manufacturing techniques knowledge; Six Sigma training is a plus.
  • Experience with APQP tools, SOP creation, and equipment negotiation.
