Position: Manufacturing Engineer (Tooling) – Remote, UK

Location: Remote, UK (East Cowes, Isle of Wight)

Responsibilities:

• Develop tooling solutions (mould tools, 5-axis fixtures, assembly jigs, shop aids) from concept to production.
• Design tooling with high process capability using Catia V5, adhering to GKN standards.
• Manage tool fabrication quotes, input for new product quotes, and configuration changes involving cost and schedule.
• Ensure safety compliance and promote a safety-first mindset.
• Use root cause analysis and implement preventative and corrective actions to reduce non-conformances.
• Implement Lean initiatives to improve production processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• HNC in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with CAD software, preferably Catia V5.
• Experience in Tool Design within manufacturing, ideally aerospace.
• Knowledge of supply chain issues.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of quality systems like ISO9000, AS9100.
• Background in aerospace industry.
• Familiarity with APQP processes and ERP systems.
• Experience interpreting aged drawings.
• Green Belt certification.

Note: UK National Security Vetting (UKNSV) Security clearance (SC) is required.
