What we achieve together
- The successful applicant will work within the department responsible for all current model, new product introduction, engineering, and continuous improvement activities within the plant.
- You will be part of a team of engineers collaborating across functions, from Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance, both locally and with group colleagues.
- Driving actions with cross-functional teams to improve all KPIs for the plant, ensuring production attainment, efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction objectives are achieved.
- Manage and implement engineering change requests from design to production.
- Support electro-pneumatic production test equipment and monitoring of key plant and process parameters, recommending data-driven corrective actions as required.
- Work with NPI Project engineers to implement new products and process improvements on existing and new production lines.
What makes us successful together
- A background in Mechanical / Electrical / Process engineering and relevant practical experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with automated powder paint spray plants is an advantage.
- Ideally educated to degree level, but individuals with HNC, relevant qualifications, and industrial experience will be considered.
- Experience with automated assembly management systems and production IT systems.
- A proven track record as a process/manufacturing engineer delivering significant value to an organization, with a sense of urgency to deliver solutions on time and to requirements.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and be a proactive team player with good interpersonal skills, able to work at all organizational levels.
- Practical problem-solving skills using A3 / 8D methodology, analytical with experience in data-driven decision-making.
