Due to very high work volume, there is as much optional overtime as possible in this role, and there is the very realistic possibility of earning @50,000 a year.

About the Role

Join one of the UK’s largest Garage Equipment Providers as a home-based Field Engineer. You’ll be working on a variety of garage equipment and be equipped with a fully racked van to provide a seamless service.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Install gas analysers (for petrol vehicles) and smoke meters (for diesel vehicles) at MOT stations and garages
• Ensure correct setup, connectivity, and integration with other test lane equipment
• Perform regular calibrations to ensure emissions testing equipment meets DVSA and VOSA standards
• Use calibration gases and specific test routines to verify accuracy
• Issue or update calibration certificates as required
• Carry out routine servicing on emissions test equipment to maintain functionality and reliability

Skills/qualifications:

• Strong mechanical/electrical or automotive background
• Experience with emissions testing equipment (preferred)
• Familiarity with MOT standards, especially relating to DVSA guidelines
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good communication skills for working directly with garage staff
• UK driving licence (for field service travel)
