Job summary

Rubicon Consulting is seeking a Production Controller for a 3-month contract based in Grimsby, supporting operations on the Lynn & Inner Dowsing Windfarm. You'll be the onshore point of contact for coordinating incidents and reporting to the Site Manager.

This hands-on role requires strong organisation, clear communication, and the ability to work under pressure across 24/7 shifts, including nights, to keep offshore operations safe and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Remotely monitoring operational assets and logging events and data.
• Managing shift handovers and liaising with client representatives.
• Controlling safe offshore operations — checking crew and passengers are authorised and competent, and setting vessel exclusion zones.
• Making the call on whether weather conditions are safe for personnel transfers, and explaining that judgement to customers.
• Coordinating with dock operators on lock access.
• Supporting vessel audits and issuing Notice to Mariners.
• Working with Service Technology and other Clients teams on data and reporting.

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Production Controller on a 3 Month Contract based in Grimsby.

Role Summary

Help power the fight against climate change. The client is looking for a Production Controller to join the team supporting operations on the Lynn & Inner Dowsing (LID) Windfarm, based dockside in Grimsby.

This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role at the sharp end of offshore wind — you'll be the first point of contact onshore for coordinating any incidents at sea or on the turbines, working closely with the Incident Management Team and reporting to the Site Manager.

Important to know

this is a genuine 24/7/365 shift role, including around 50% night shifts, covering scheduled and unscheduled site requirements. No two days are the same.
