Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a Production Chef for the Chester area (Airbus Broughton site). You will prepare and cook dishes to recipes and standards, manage your station, and help maintain high quality and food safety. The role offers 40 hours per week and a salary of £28,000–£30,000.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Commis Chef or similar role.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards; ensure food safety at all times.
• Station Management – oversee production of dishes on your station and maintain cleanliness.
• Quality Control – maintain high quality standards for all dishes, including presentation and taste.
• Team Collaboration – communicate effectively with team members and support colleagues.
• Menu Development – collaborate with head chef to develop and taste new recipes.
• Cleaning and Maintenance – keep designated area clean and equipment in good working order.
