About Pro-Pak Foods

Looking for a role where your adaptability, teamwork, and growth mindset are truly valued? Join Pro-Pak Foods as a Production and Supply Chain Planner!

We’re passionate about crafting delicious ready meals for the UK’s top supermarkets and convenience stores. Our expert chefs create over 200 high-quality meals, and thanks to ongoing investment from our parent company (Premium Food Group), our business continues to grow. To support this expansion, we’re looking for Production and Supply Chain Planners to join our dynamic, people-first team.

We’re a proud member of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) and actively welcome applications from service leavers, military partners, and reservists. Our commitment to the ERS reflects our recognition of the valuable skills and experience that ex-service personnel and military families bring to the workplace.

What makes this role different?

At Pro-Pak, we believe that skills can be taught, but personality, attitude, and behaviours are what truly make someone successful. We’re looking for adaptable, collaborative, and driven individuals who are ready to learn, grow, and support our team’s success. Our planners have come from all walks of life — from air traffic controllers and teachers to trophy engravers and quality controllers. If you’re ready to bring your whole self to work, we’ll provide all the training you need to succeed.

About The Role

As a Planner, you’ll play a central role in orchestrating production, ensuring every product is made, packed, and shipped right first time. You’ll work with multiple teams across production, transport, and logistics to keep everything on track. Don’t worry if you’ve never done this before — we’ll provide comprehensive training to get you up to speed.

Your Key Responsibilities (with Full Training Provided)

  • Coordinate daily production plans and transport schedules.
  • Work with departments across the business to make sure the right products are in the right place at the right time.
  • Create and share production reports and schedules.
  • Work with customers, third-party logistics partners, and group companies to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
  • Support the launch of new product lines.
  • Identify and resolve issues as they arise, keeping production on track.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and represent the planning team when needed.

If this sounds like a lot, don’t worry — we’re with you every step of the way.

About You

  • We’re looking for someone who is:
  • Adaptable: You’re ready to take on new challenges and adjust as things change.
  • Logical: You approach problems with clear thinking and creative solutions.
  • Collaborative: You’re a team player who’s always ready to support others.
  • Calm under pressure: When things get busy, you’re the person others rely on to stay cool and focused.
  • Eager to learn: You’re hungry for personal growth and keen to develop new skills.

We want to be as clear as possible – your experience in food production, or production planning really does not matter. We can teach you everything about the job, but we can’t teach you how to have the right attitude.

Whatever your background, if you’re ready to work hard and bring your best self to the table, we’d love to hear from you.

What’s in it for you?

We don’t just offer jobs; we offer careers. Many of our team have progressed to senior roles within Pro-Pak and across our wider group. For example, Andrew, our Planning Manager, joined as a Production Planner just 4.5 years ago. Our Managing Director, Jon Guest, previously managed the planning team during his career with us.

What We Can Offer You

  • A role in a growing company: Our parent company have given Pro-Pak a full package of investment to expand our business. We have completed the first phase of a multi-year expansion plan and are looking forward to our next stage of works to improve the employee environment.
  • Comprehensive training: Personalized development programs and the chance to learn transferable skills.
  • Rapid career progression: As fast as you can show your skills, we’ll support your growth.
  • A healthy workplace environment: You’ll be working in our new, modern offices. We have clear work/life boundaries in place – we’re a professional business and not “a family” here. There is room to make mistakes and learn from them. You’ll be working with an engaged team who want to help and support your growth.
  • 33 days’ holiday, inclusive of bank holidays. With an option to buy up to 5 extra days.
  • Discounts & benefits hub: Access to our benefits and recognition program.
  • Support & well-being: Access to GroceryAid, which provides emotional, practical, and financial support.
  • Annual award: A discretionary end-of-year award after 12 months’ service.

Shift Flexibility

To give you well-rounded experience, you’ll have the opportunity to work across both shift patterns (4 on / 4 off and Monday – Friday) from time to time. This helps you develop your skills and allows for holiday cover when required.

Don't worry if you need one primary pattern over another - we’re happy to discuss how this works during the interview stage. Please note that this role is on-site and we do not currently offer this position on a hybrid or remote basis.

Hear From Our Team

"I recently joined Pro Pak Foods as a Production Planner from a role outside the food industry, and the experience has been incredibly positive so far.

From day one, I was warmly welcomed, and being part of the planning team has been really rewarding. The people here are friendly, supportive, and always willing to lend a hand. Since starting, I’ve had plenty of opportunities to learn and grow, and I’m genuinely excited about the potential for further development. My manager provides clear guidance, encouragement, and genuine support for my success. It’s a workplace where I feel valued, challenged, and motivated to keep building my skills and progressing in my career." – E.A. Production Planner.
