Job summary

Prince Personnel are recruiting for a Production and Materials Planner based in Telford. This permanent role offers up to £40,000 per annum (DOE) and a 37.5-hour week, focused on scheduling, materials planning and inventory in a busy FMCG operation.

You will balance customer demand, materials availability, production capacity and line changeovers while supporting new product launches and coordinating with multiple departments to minimise disruption.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within Production Planning, Materials Planning or Supply Chain Planning.
• Background within FMCG, food manufacturing or another fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing complex production schedules with frequent changeovers and short lead times.
• Strong ERP system experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence across multiple departments.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Developing achievable production plans based on customer orders, capacity and resource availability.
• Ensuring raw materials and packaging are available to support manufacturing requirements; Adjusting schedules to accommodate changing priorities, product changeovers and operational demands.
• Managing planning data, production orders and product information within the ERP system.
• Supporting new product launches and ensuring a smooth transition into production.
• Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating stock movements between locations.
• Identifying potential supply risks and implementing solutions to minimise disruption.
• Collaborating with operational teams to improve planning accuracy and efficiency.

Are you an experienced Production Planner, Materials Planner or Supply Chain Planner with a background in FMCG or food manufacturing?
