Job summary

Prince Personnel is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planning Manager for a permanent role in Telford. Salary up to £55,000 per annum DOE, 37.5 hours per week.

The role leads planning for a growing FMCG manufacturing business and shapes the function from reactive to strategic. You will oversee demand, supply and production planning, drive S&OP, and manage inventory while collaborating with Operations, Sales and Finance to align with business priorities.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of demand, supply, production planning and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Supply Chain Planning team to drive engagement, accountability and performance.
• Create and deliver robust demand, supply and production plans to support customer requirements.
• Drive the transition from reactive planning to a proactive and strategic planning function.
• Implement and develop S&OP processes to improve cross-functional alignment and decision making.
• Manage inventory levels to balance customer service, stock availability and working capital targets.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales and Finance to ensure plans stay aligned with business priorities.
• Monitor forecasting accuracy and implement improvements to planning processes.
• Support capacity planning activities to maximise operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on service levels, productivity and cost reduction.
• Ensure effective use of ERP/MRP systems to enhance planning visibility and data accuracy.

Are you an experienced Supply Chain Planning Manager, Demand Planning Manager looking for an opportunity to shape and develop a growing supply chain function?

Due to continued expansion, a rapidly growing FMCG manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Planning Manager to lead its planning operation. Supplying a number of well-known and prestigious customers, the business has experienced significant growth and is now looking for a strong people leader who can move the function from a reactive approach to a more strategic, forward-thinking operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious supply chain professional who enjoys developing teams, improving processes and driving operational performance within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.

The Supply Chain Planning Manager will be responsible for:

• Leading, coaching and developing the Supply Chain Planning team to drive engagement, accountability and performance
• Creating and delivering robust demand, supply and production plans to support customer requirements and business objectives
• Driving the transition from reactive planning to a proactive and strategic planning function
• Implementing and developing S&OP processes to improve cross-functional alignment and decision making
• Managing inventory levels to balance customer service, stock availability and working capital targets
• Working closely with Operations, Sales and Finance to ensure plans remain aligned with business priorities
• Monitoring forecasting accuracy and implementing improvements to planning processes
• Supporting capacity planning activities to maximise operational efficiency

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a Supply Chain Planning Manager, Demand Planning Manager, Supply Chain Manager or similar planning-focused leadership role
• FMCG, food manufacturing, fresh produce, beverage or other high-volume manufacturing experience
• Strong understanding of demand planning, supply planning, production planning and inventory management
• Proven experience leading and developing supply chain or planning teams
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
• ERP/MRP systems experience
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive change within a growing business
• Collaborating with operational teams to improve planning accuracy and efficiency
