Job summary

Gap Personnel Limited in Wrexham is seeking a Materials/Production Planner to join on a 6-month fixed-term basis. You will plan, coordinate, and monitor the delivery of parts, manage stock levels, and support on-time delivery across the business.

You will maintain SAP data, develop production schedules, and collaborate with procurement, operations and engineering to resolve material-related issues. Strong experience in materials planning and SAP MM/PP is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and manage material and component requirements to support production demands. Ensuring on-time delivery of parts for manufacturing.
• Monitor supplier performance, escalating issues that may impact achievement of production schedules.
• Identify and reduce obsolete or excess stock, driving continuous improvement in inventory optimisation
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and engineering teams to resolve material-related issues
• Develop, manage, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules within the S&OP process.
• Coordinate customer order control to ensure accurate and timely delivery, ensuring accurate data management.
• Create and release work orders in line with production requirements
• Maintain accurate data within SAP and ensure system integrity across planning activities, including exception and error management.
• Prepare and present material status reports, KPIs, and other supply chain metrics as required.

We are looking for a Materials/Production Planner to join our client’s team based in Wrexham on a 6-month fixed-term basis.As a Materials/Production Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials from supplier and through our client’s production process.You'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the delivery of parts, maintaining optimal stock levels, managing obsolescence, and supporting on-time delivery performance across the business.Ensuring that material availability and production schedules align with business demands.

Performance Objectives

Person Specification
