Job summary

Mistral AI is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to help customers adopt its products and address complex technical challenges. The role sits in the customer-facing Applied AI team, bridging cutting-edge research and real-world enterprise solutions.

You will deploy state-of-the-art GenAI applications, work with enterprise clients on end-to-end projects, and collaborate with researchers and engineers to ensure robust, scalable outcomes that align with customer needs and Mistral's vision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a technical individual contributor on AI-based products.
• Experience implementing AI/ML products with APIs, back-end and front-end interfaces.
• Experience in Fine Tuning LLMs, tackling advanced RAG or agentic use cases.
• Deep understanding of ML/LLMs concepts and algorithms.
• Strong Python coding skills.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Deploy production use cases with measurable business impact across industries.
• Work on GenAI applications from consumer products to industrial use cases with customers.
• Collaborate with researchers, AI engineers and product engineers on complex projects including fine-tuning and inference.
• Participate in pre-sales calls to understand client needs and provide technical guidance on products.
• Collaborate with product and science teams to improve product and model capabilities based on feedback.
