Cameron Clarke Associates are recruiting a Product Testing Engineer in Market Drayton to verify safety compliance of electrical products using high-spec equipment. This role offers a clear career pathway within a UKAS-accredited lab environment.

You will work 37.5 hours per week (9am–5pm), with opportunities for technical training and professional development as the team ensures product safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience testing electrical products to recognised safety standards (BS/EN IEC 61010, 60335, 62368, 60598).
• BTEC or degree in electrical/electronics engineering.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with a customer-focused approach.
• Genuine desire to develop knowledge and progress in the career.
• Experience in a UKAS-accredited organisation is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Test electrical and electronic products against safety standards (BS/EN IEC 61010, 60335, 62368, 60598).
• Evaluate product design safety across electrical, mechanical and thermal aspects.
• Assess hazards and environmental performance at varying temperatures and humidity.
• Verify manuals and labelling for compliance.
• Write clear test reports using calibrated laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and designers to support product certification.

Our client, a UKAS-accredited testing laboratory in Market Drayton, is looking for a Product Testing Engineer to help manufacturers bring safe, compliant products to market. The Role

You will test a variety of electrical and electronic products to verify they meet safety requirements. From assessing electrocution hazards and fire risks to checking labelling, user manuals, and environmental performance, your work will be varied and technically rewarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Testing electrical and electronic products against safety standards (e.g. BS/EN IEC 61010, 60335, 62368, 60598)
• Evaluating product design for electrical, mechanical and thermal safety, including endurance testing of components
• Assessing electrocution hazards, fire risks, and environmental performance at temperature and humidity
• Verifying user manuals and product labelling for compliance
• Writing clear, accurate test reports and using calibrated laboratory equipment
• Working with manufacturers and designers to support product certification

What You'll Need

• Experience of testing electrical and electronic equipment to recognised safety standards, eg BS/EN IEC 61010, 60335, 62368, or 60598
• BTEC, degree, or equivalent qualification in electrical or electronics engineering
• Experience testing electrical and electronic equipment to safety standards
• A customer-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks

• Experience in a UKAS-accredited (or similar) organisation is advantageous
