Job Description

As the Product Marketing Specialist for automotive diagnostic tools you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote diagnostic tools to distribution partners, automotive professionals and repair shops. Your role bridges product management, sales, and marketing communication, ensuring the product's value is effectively communicated to drive adoption and sales.

Your duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Market Research: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and position your products effectively.
  • Product Positioning & Messaging: Craft compelling value propositions, product descriptions, and marketing messages tailored to target audiences (e.g., mechanics, fleet managers, or shop owners).
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute launch plans, including pricing, distribution channels, and promotional campaigns to maximize market penetration.
  • Content Creation: Lead marketing communication in producing marketing materials such as brochures, videos, website content, and technical guides that highlight the products' features, benefits, and use cases.
  • Sales Enablement: Equip sales teams with training, presentations, and tools to effectively pitch products to customers.
  • Customer Feedback Loop: Gather insights from customers and technicians to inform product improvements and future marketing strategies.
  • Partnerships: Collaborate with automotive industry partners, such as repair shop networks or tool distributors, to expand reach and credibility.
  • Business planning: Create sales forecasts and project calculations to advise business planning rounds.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying, leading and supporting cross functional, continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, engineering or automotive technology.
  • 3+ years of product marketing experience, ideally in automotive or technical tools.
  • Knowledge of automotive diagnostics or repair shop workflows
  • Proficiency in microsoft office suite. (e.g. excel and powerpoint)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration and story telling skills.
  • High degree of self-discipline, motivation, professionalism and accountability.
  • Being a positive ambassador of the company with strong customer focus and orientation.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, primarily domestically (20%)
