Job summary

NEC Software Solutions in the UK is seeking a Product Manager for NEC Housing to shape and deliver innovative housing sector products, including AI, workflow, case management, and customer engagement, such as the NEC Engage app. You will translate market needs into requirements, drive delivery with engineering and QA, and collaborate with customers through workshops to shape roadmaps and ensure outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK Social Housing sector or with housing software solutions.
• Strong understanding of product life cycle and delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience defining product enhancements, UI/UX design, and Agile new product development.
• Experience with housing management systems or related software.
• Experience with Document Management, Case Management and/or Customer Engagement solutions.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Full, valid UK driving licence for travel.
• Proven ability to build relationships and understand client perspectives.
• Effective time management and resource allocation.
• Experience in end-to-end product life cycle management.
• Experience designing digital solutions for social housing (mobile apps & web).
• Proficiency in tools such as Figma and JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to understand legislative, regulatory, competitive and economic trends.
• Become the subject matter expert in your product area for customers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with customers through co-design workshops and meetings to capture insights and shape requirements.
• Define customer business needs and objectives to ensure NEC Housing products meet or exceed expectations.
• Create requirements, user stories, and wireframes; work with development and QA teams to deliver solutions.
• Partner with Technical Authors to produce and review product documentation.
• Build business cases including market uptake, pricing, and margin analysis.
• Identify and manage third-party requirements with suppliers and integrators.
• Define and maintain the roadmap for your product area(s).
• Support Pre-Sales and Sales with bid responses, proposals and quotations.
• Deliver presentations to internal and external audiences.
• Contribute to product launch activities.
