Job summary

Greencore, following the January 2026 integration with Bakkavor, is seeking a Product Developer in Selby on a 15 month FTC. You will work closely with Development Chefs, Process, Technical, Commercial and Operations teams to deliver new and existing ready meal product development projects.

You will develop new recipes, improve existing ones, ensure scalability, cost targets and quality, and support launches with strong costings and market insight.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG food product development from concept to launch.
• Strong costings analysis and ability to produce technical docs.
• Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new recipes and improve existing ones to meet briefs and targets.
• Benchmark products and monitor market trends for opportunities.
• Create and maintain recipes in recipe management systems.
• Assess new ingredients from operational and technical perspectives.
• Prepare feasibility assessments and concept-to-process handovers.
• Support factory trials and scale-up for quality during launches.
• Manage critical path activities to keep launches on track.
