Job summary

Greencore Group in Warrington is seeking a Product Developer on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will support the development of new and existing products from concept through to successful launch, delivering quality, cost-effective recipes.

You will work with chefs to create recipes, input data into systems, review costings, and present findings to internal teams and customers. Travel will be required and a full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food product development
• Analytical; comfortable with producing and reviewing costings
• Proficient in all elements of product development from concept to launch
• Proven track record of successfully validating products and producing high quality documentation
• Confident in presenting to all levels within the business and directly to customers
• Experience in people management

Responsibilities

• Develop new and existing recipes into commercially viable products.
• Benchmark recipes to understand market competition.
• Create recipes with chefs, input recipes onto the system, and review accuracy of recipe data.
• Assess viability of new ingredients from operational/tech/product development perspectives.
• Prepare and review documentation for feasibility and handovers.
• Lead feasibility processes with cross-functional teams.
• Compile costing information and balance quality with commercial targets.
• Present benchmarking and new products to internal and customer stakeholders.
• Follow project timelines to prevent delays in product acceptance and launch.
• Support scale-up trials to ensure production quality aligns with kitchen approval.
• Provide leadership to keep the team safe, engaged and delivering.
