Job summary

SmartestEnergy Limited is seeking a Product Control Analyst in the UK to provide robust valuation, P&L, risk measurement, monitoring and reporting across trading activities. You will work with Front Office, Market Risk and senior management to explain drivers and escalate breaches, while building tools using Excel, VBA, SQL and Python.

The role supports onboarding of new products and contributes to risk initiatives, with hybrid working and a potential secondment or fixed-term contract through

Qualifications

• Experience in Product Control, Market Risk or a similar middle-office function.
• Exposure to Gas & Power Trading or energy markets is preferred.
• Strong understanding of valuation, P&L reporting and risk drivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide robust valuation, P&L reporting, risk measurement and monitoring.
• Explain drivers of P&L, positions and exposures to stakeholders.
• Support onboarding of new products, instruments and trading activities.
