Job summary

SmartestEnergy Business Limited is seeking a Product Control Analyst to own robust P&L reporting, risk measurement, and valuation across core trading activities. You will explain drivers of P&L, manage exposures, and ensure outputs align with risk frameworks, policies and controls while partnering with Front Office, Market Risk and senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience in Product Control or Market Risk or similar middle-office function.
• Strong understanding of risk measurement, P&L reporting, attribution and trade valuations.
• Knowledge of energy markets and trading activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide robust valuation, P&L, risk measurement, monitoring and reporting.
• Explain drivers of P&L, positions and exposures to stakeholders.
• Identify and escalate key risks or limit breaches; deliver practical risk advice.
• Contribute to automation and tooling using Excel, VBA, SQL, Python.
