Job summary

Medstrom Ltd in Castle Donington is seeking a Product Cleaner to join the Logistics team on a part-time, permanent basis, working Saturday and Sunday, 6am–2:30pm. The role involves cleaning, testing, and repairing hospital beds and mattresses, maintaining inventory, and ensuring quality processes are followed.

You will also support field technicians, complete electrical safety testing with provided training, keep records, and update IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, testing and repairing products (hospital beds and mattresses) and preparing them for use.
• Keep inventory of products and spare parts.
• Ensure compliance with quality processes, internal and external.
• Meet daily product preparation targets and deliver timely service to field technicians.
• Record electrical safety testing on products; training provided.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and complete daily/weekly activity reports.
• Update relevant IT systems.

Job description

We’re now looking for a Product Cleaner to join our Logistics team in Castle Donington on a part-time, permanent basis, working Saturday and Sunday.

Your Role:

• Cleaning, testing, and repairing products (hospital beds and mattresses) and making them ready for use
• Keeping an inventory of products and spare parts
• Ensuring compliance with quality processes, both internal and external
• Meeting daily product preparation targets
• Delivering a timely and appropriate service to the field technicians
• Completing and recording electrical safety testing on products during tasks; you will be fully trained
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the workplace
• Completing daily/weekly activity reports
• Updating relevant IT systems

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, working Saturday and Sunday 6am – 2.30pm (15 hours).

Experience Required:

• Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety rules would be an advantage, but not essential
• Basic PC skills to include email and MS Office
• A full driving licence would be an advantage to support the wider team, but not essential as this role is site-based
• Electrical safety testing qualification or certificate would be equally desirable, but is not essential as full training will be provided
