Job Title: Procurement Support Officer

Location: Mid Kent

Working Hours: Mon-Fri / 37.5 hours a week / 08:30-17:00

Type: Temporary with the potential to go Permanent

Pearson Whiffin are recruiting for a Procurement Support Officer to join our client based in Mid Kent. This position starts on a temporary basis with the opportunity for the right candidate to join permanently.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in a similar role, a methodological approach, and a willingness to learn. You will support the Procurement Operations Manager to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities include:
  • Serving as the point of contact for suppliers, following up on services and products
  • Collaborating closely with internal departments
  • Processing invoices promptly
  • Following the invoice checking process and providing accurate reports
  • Handling Transport and Customs invoices
  • Maintaining and updating the CRM database with accurate information
  • Processing Freight invoices
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; packhouse admin experience will also be considered
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, graphs, and data entry
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines
  • Proactive attitude with meticulous attention to detail
  • Quick learner with systems and processes

The successful candidate will join a small, hardworking team within a company with over 20 years of industry experience. The role is office-based with a flexible approach to employee needs. The office features open-plan layouts, great views, and a balcony. Benefits include 33 days holiday.
