Responsibilities

• Raising and processing purchase orders in line with business requirements.
• Liaising with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability and delivery lead times.
• Monitoring outstanding purchase orders and chasing suppliers to ensure deliveries arrive on schedule.
• Maintaining accurate purchasing records, supplier details and order information on internal systems.
• Supporting the purchasing team with stock availability and material requirements.
• Communicating with internal departments to help ensure materials and components are available when required for production.
• Assisting with supplier queries, delivery discrepancies and invoice-related queries.
• Updating delivery schedules and keeping relevant departments informed of potential delays.
• Helping maintain effective supplier relationships and identifying opportunities to improve purchasing processes.
• Processing customer orders and ensuring information is entered accurately onto internal systems.
• Preparing quotations, order acknowledgements and relevant sales documentation.
• Responding to customer enquiries by telephone and email.
• Liaising with customers regarding order progress, availability and delivery dates.
• Supporting the sales team with general administrative tasks and maintaining accurate customer records.
• Working with purchasing and production colleagues to provide customers with accurate information on product availability and lead times.
