Job summary

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is recruiting a Contract Compliance and Implementation Manager to lead procurement and contracting activity from Ayrshire Central Hospital. You will manage a large contract portfolio, run procurements from requirement to award, and report on suppliers and tenders.

The role requires degree level education, CIP S qualification, and strong leadership, data analysis, and change-management skills. Driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent.
  • Professional/Postgraduate qualification in Purchasing and Supplies, e.g. Diploma of C.I.P.S. or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable experience within the Procurement profession with diverse stakeholders.
  • Able to evidence a successful track record in Procurement and change management.
  • Evidence of good leadership skills.
  • Significant experience with computerised supply chain systems and data analysis.

  • Lead on procurement and contracting activity.

Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Compliance and Implementation Manager within our Procurement department based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.

Hours and Shift Pattern:

2x 36 hours - 6 months Fixed Term

1x 36 hours - 12 month Fixed Term

What you will do:

NHS Ayrshire and Arran are looking for an experienced Contract Implementation & Compliance Manager to lead on procurement and contracting activity.

This role will have responsibility for delivering numerous, complex contracts, this will include:-

  • Managing a large and varied contract portfolio
  • Undertaking and managing procurements from identifying a requirement to the awarding of the contract using procurement and sourcing principles
  • Analyse and report on a range of subjects including, products, suppliers and tender evaluation
  • Organise product trials, analyse product use and supply, investigate savings opportunities and implement and report accordingly
  • Maximising cost savings and efficiencies in the contracting and procurement process
  • Developing and managing a range of suppliers
  • And improving on service delivery through the use of best practice

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and innovative procurement professional.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent level
  • Professional/Postgraduate qualification in Purchasing and Supplies, e.g. Diploma of C.I.P.S. or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable experience within the Procurement profession and have worked in an environment where a high level of interface with a diverse range of stakeholders and customers is required.
  • Able to evidence a successful track record in Procurement.
  • Able to demonstrate a successful track record in change management.
  • Evidence of good leadership skills.
  • Can demonstrate significant experience working with computerised supply chain systems and extensive IT literacy, involving data analysis and presentation
  • Experience gained within a leading edge environment applying best practice procurement and change management processes.
  • Experience in leading the delivery of significant economic and service benefits form joint working activities (cross sector/organisation).
  • Demonstrable leadership skills.
  • Possesses high level data analysis skills.
Full UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential to this role.
