Job description

We are working with our client, a renowned ship owner in London, to assist in the search for a procurement professional to join their team.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring that spares and parts of a high calibre are sourced in the most cost effective and timely way. You will be involved in the full remit of procurement from providing vessels with purchasing guidance, finding the most effective / efficient quotes, placing orders, using the procurement systems, managing feedback from those onboard and maintaining good relationships with the suppliers.

You will have at least three years of experience within marine procurement, ideally from the owners side, and you will also have an engineering background. You should be a confident communicator, proactive, have a proven track record of successful negotiations and be commercially minded with a strong awareness of the marine procurement market.

If you have experience in marine category management you will have a distinct advantage.

You should have the existing right to work and live in the UK but those who require sponsorship are also encouraged to apply.
