Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College is seeking a procurement professional to support a compliant, value-for-money service across diverse goods, services and works. You will work with colleagues and suppliers on projects, tenders and contract management while providing guidance and monitoring supplier performance.

The role emphasizes sustainable procurement, continuous process improvement, and flexibility within a hybrid working environment at Hartpury in Gloucestershire.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a procurement, purchasing, contracts, or commercial environment.
  • An organised and accurate approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
  • An effective communicator, able to build positive relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Good commercial awareness and a focus on delivering value for money.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to work towards a relevant professional procurement qualification where this is not already held.
