Purchasing / Procurement Manager

Manufacturing | Melton Mowbray | Site-Based

Up to £55,000

Procurement’s often the unsung hero in manufacturing. But not here.

Here, they’re looking for someone who can take the reins—own the numbers, lead the projects, fix the inefficiencies, and bring real structure to how things get bought.

This is a site-based role where you’ll be at the heart of operations. That means face time with the factory, hands-on problem solving, and real influence over how money gets spent—and saved.

What you’ll be doing:

• Running the full procurement process: tenders, negotiations, contract management, and cost analysis
• Leading from the front and managing a team of 4—and setting the bar high for procurement standards
• Getting supplier relationships working harder (and smarter)
• Cleaning up purchase order processes and helping departments stay on budget

What you’ll need:

• Solid procurement experience in a manufacturing setting
• Excel skills that go beyond SUM and FILTER (think: pivot tables and dashboards)
• Strong people management and communication skills—you’ll be dealing with everyone from operators to directors
• A pragmatic approach to process improvement and a sharp eye for detail
