Job Introduction

The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Procurement Manager to join the Commercial team. The key responsibilities of this role are to ensure a focus on delivering the strategic priorities of the Metro Mayor by:

1. Managing the procurement portfolio for allocated support areas, specifically leading and delivering results on infrastructure and corporate services categories.
2. Ensuring all tender instructions provided to suppliers are clear and transparent, especially for complex tenders, to clarify how funding and contracts will be awarded and monitored.
3. Actively managing the supply chain and business continuity risk assessment for the organization, understanding spend profiles and associated risks.
4. Developing and maintaining appropriate relationships with internal customers, key stakeholders, suppliers from public, private, and third sectors, partner authorities, and other government bodies where appropriate.

The salary range for this role is £50,788 - £53,994, full-time equivalent, pro-rated for part-time. New external candidates typically start at the lowest salary point, with potential for progression based on skill and experience.
