Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking motivated procurement professionals to join our team on the Wirral Peninsula. The role focuses on procuring for the Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, driving cash-releasing savings while supporting high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Has achieved or is working towards CIPS Level 6 (Professional), or can demonstrate equivalent experience.
• Educated to Degree level.
• GCSE level of education (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
• Experience of working in procurement role.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manages allocated procurement categories and projects, delivering against agreed timescales and outcomes.
• Identify and achieve potential cash releasing savings from revenue expenditure through benchmarking, market testing and negotiation.
• Lead and manage tenders and contracts to achieve best value for money.
• Analyse the financial implications of contract awards and report to budget holders.
