University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing across multiple categories and to support cost-improvement programmes. The role expects collaboration with internal stakeholders and the management of procurement projects end-to-end.

You will manage tender processes, ensure value for money, and drive standardisation across suppliers while aligning with NHS governance and contract management best practices.

• Lead the procurement strategic sourcing programme for a range of categories.
• Support the Senior Procurement Manager in delivering cost and efficiency savings.
• Maintain accurate management information reporting covering the Workplan, CIP reporting and project work.
• Ensure effective use of all procurement systems and procedures.
• Meet customer requirements by delivering best value for money and compliant procurement.
• Lead tenders and deliver complex strategic procurement projects.
• Research market risks and trends to guide new opportunities and improvements.
• Liaise with end users to ensure compliance with standardised products and catalogues.

Aufgaben

• To lead the procurement strategic sourcing programme for a range of categories, taking the lead and contributing significantly to the delivery of allocated procurement projects.
• To support the Senior Procurement Manager in the delivery of cost and efficiency savings, by analysing current spend information to develop in house and collaborative procurement strategies and workplans.
• Maintain accurate management information reporting covering your key procurement activity areas e.g Workplan, CIP reporting, additional project work.
• Ensure effective use of all WPL procurement related systems and procedures to support efficient working practice.
• To meet customer requirements by demonstrating best value for money, through compliance with category priorities and contracts, and by actively managing the market place through the implementation of key strategies for supplier relationship management and contract management.
• Lead on tenders and deliver complex strategic procurement projects.
• Research the market for risks and trends. Provide guidance to the team to aid in new business opportunities and continuous improvements.
• Liaising with end users at all levels to ensure compliance in the use of agreed standardised products, ensuring the range of items within catalogues is rationalised to an optimum level.
