Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Procurement Manager via Wessex NHS Procurement Limited. The role focuses on delivering a category workplan across strategic contracts, driving cost improvements and value creation within the NHS framework.

The post involves leading tenders, contract management, and working with internal/external stakeholders to ensure best value and compliant procurement practices across multiple sites, including Royal South Hants Hospital and Basingstoke

Qualifications

Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
Knowledge of professional purchasing principles
Expertise in Public Contract Regulation (PCR) procurements
Significant and advanced procurement knowledge

Responsibilities

Lead the procurement strategic sourcing programme for a range of categories.
Drive cost improvements and efficiency savings through spend analysis and strategy development.
Maintain management information reporting on workplan, CIP, and project work.
Ensure effective use of procurement systems and procedures to support efficient work practices.
Provide contract management guidance and manage supplier relationships and tenders.
Mentor and develop junior procurement staff; deputise for Senior Procurement Manager when needed.
