Job description

Our client was established in 1996 to provide flexible and accessible finance to SMEs across the country. From this continued success they are now looking to recruit a Senior Procurement Specialist on a 4-month Fixed Term Contract to allow them to continue their exciting growth plans and lead the selection and implementation of a new core business system. This is a critical project aimed at streamlining operations, improving efficiency, and supporting the company's ambitious growth strategy.

The successful candidate will operate in a consultancy capacity, providing expert guidance and support to the programme, and will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring compliance, minimising risk, and securing the best possible value.

Role responsibilities.

• Procurement strategy & planning for system selection
• Leading RFI/RFP development and vendor evaluation
• Contract negotiation and compliance with FCA standards
• Acting as procurement lead and key point of contact for internal stakeholders
• Supporting project delivery alongside the Programme Manager
• 7–10+ years in strategic procurement, especially around enterprise software selection
• Deep understanding of contract law, procurement best practices, and vendor negotiation
• Experience in financial services (asset finance a strong plus)
• Strong stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and project delivery skills
• Ideally MCIPS-qualified
