Senior Procurement Specialist

4 Month Fixed Term Contract

UK Remote with occasional travel

Our client was established in 1996 to provide flexible and accessible finance to SMEs across the country. Now, more than 20 years on, they have grown to become one of the UK’s largest, independent finance houses. They have continued to deliver leading-edge finance solutions through a unique combination of teamwork and technology.

From this continued success, they are now looking to recruit a Senior Procurement Specialist on a 4-month Fixed Term Contract to support their growth plans and lead the selection and implementation of a new core business system. This project aims to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and support the company's ambitious growth strategy.

The successful candidate will operate in a consultancy capacity, providing expert guidance and support to the programme. Responsibilities include managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring compliance, minimizing risk, and securing optimal value.

Role responsibilities:

1. Procurement strategy & planning for system selection
2. Leading RFI/RFP development and vendor evaluation
3. Contract negotiation and compliance with FCA standards
4. Acting as procurement lead and key point of contact for internal stakeholders
5. Supporting project delivery alongside the Programme Manager
6. 7–10+ years in strategic procurement, especially around enterprise software selection
7. Deep understanding of contract law, procurement best practices, and vendor negotiation
8. Experience in financial services (asset finance a strong plus)
9. Strong stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and project delivery skills
10. Ideally MCIPS-qualified
