Job summary

Birmingham City Council is looking for an Associate Contact Lead to shape procurement communications and engagement. You’ll develop campaigns, manage multiple channels and translate complex procurement information into accessible content for colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders.

You’ll lead a multichannel strategy, measure impact and help position Commercial and Procurement Services as a trusted partner across the Council, with flexible/hybrid working where possible.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering communication campaigns across multiple channels in a complex organisation.
• Excellent writing and editing skills for specialist and non-specialist audiences.
• Experience supporting organisational change through effective communications and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple campaigns.
• Excellent relationship-building with colleagues, leaders and external stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse engagement data and use insights to improve communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop multichannel engagement strategy promoting procurement initiatives.
• Plan and deliver campaigns across digital and face-to-face channels.
• Produce clear, accessible content for intranet, newsletters, emails, LinkedIn.
• Translate complex information into practical communications for varied audiences.
• Create high-quality materials for events, recruitment, supplier engagement, learning.
• Champion CPS brand as trusted partner across the Council.
• Measure effectiveness of engagements and improve based on insights.
