Job summary

GM Performance Power Units is seeking a Process Quality Engineer to ensure robust manufacturing of Cadillac F1 Power Unit systems. The role demands hands-on problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment, focusing on quality ownership across various manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering field, substantial experience in process quality, and knowledge of quality improvement methodologies.

Qualifications

• Experience in process or manufacturing quality.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, APQP/PPAP, SPC, and MSA.
• Experience supporting machining and/or additive manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience in root cause analysis and CAPA systems.
• Ability to work hands-on in manufacturing and assembly environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain process controls, inspection criteria, and quality standards.
• Develop and perform reaction plans for critical features utilizing SPC.
• Support builds through torque verification and functional checks.
• Lead APQP deliverables and ensure process readiness.
• Review and approve FAI/FAIR and CTQ documentation.
• Drive resolution of nonconformances using structured root cause analysis.
• Own and manage MRB, NCR/CAPA processes.
• Work with metrology in validation activities.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality teams.
