Job summary

GM Performance Power Units is looking for a Process Quality Engineer to ensure defect-free manufacturing of Cadillac F1 Power Unit systems. This role focuses on quality ownership throughout manufacturing, including additive and CNC machining, sub-assembly, and final assembly operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience, and applicable knowledge in quality frameworks. A background in high-performance environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field.
• Experience in process or manufacturing quality required.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, APQP/PPAP, SPC, and MSA is essential.
• Hands-on ability in manufacturing and assembly environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain process controls and quality standards.
• Support builds through functional checks and validations.
• Lead APQP deliverables ensuring process readiness.
• Drive resolution of nonconformances using root cause analysis.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality.
