Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking Process Operators to join our Process team across sites in North Yorkshire, including Northallerton, Thirsk and Helmsley. The role is permanent, 37 hours a week, with a rotating shift pattern from 06:00 to 22:00.

You'll work outdoors, respond to alarms, collect samples, carry out routine maintenance, and travel between sites. Full training is provided, along with a company van and PPE, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, life cover and health

Qualifications

• A practical, hands-on mindset and a willingness to work outdoors in all weathers.
• Good time management to plan your day and manage your workload.
• Confidence to speak up if something doesn't look safe.
• A steady, problem-solving approach and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Responding to RTS alarms and pollution incidents.
• Gathering evidence at suspected pollution incidents.
• Lifting, checking, and unblocking pumps.
• Taking samples, examining results, and trouble-shooting issues.
• Raising follow-on work for internal support services.
