Job summary

Yorkshire Water is looking for a Process Operator to join our on-site Process team in North Yorkshire, covering Kirbymoorside and Pickering. You will work a 37-hour week on a rotating rota with early, late, and weekend shifts, often outdoors, to keep sites running and compliant.

You’ll respond to alarms, check equipment, and help protect the environment while delivering reliable water and wastewater services.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points) required.
• Basic IT skills and willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
• Practical, proactive problem-solving mindset and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to RTS alarms and pollution incidents.
• Gather evidence at suspected pollution incidents.
• Lift, check and unblock pumps; take samples and analyse results.
• Raise follow-on work for internal support services.
