Job summary

Epwin Group PLC is seeking a Process Operator to monitor the extrusion process and ensure product quality within a fast-moving manufacturing environment in the UK. The role involves following the production plan, recording key process data, and supporting continuous improvement alongside the Team Manager.

Working 4 on 4 off (days and nights rotating), you will perform checks, maintain housekeeping, and assist in maintaining safety and quality standards across the production line.

Qualifications

  • Must have good numeracy and literacy.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record the required process parameters at the required times.
  • Record scrap information and segregate non-conforming product from good production.
  • Record all required information for all operations as per works instructions/procedures.
  • Agree and complete training and development requirements as determined by the Team Manager and the training plan.
  • Shutdown extrusion machine (including emergency shutdown).
  • Fault rectification and problem solving.
  • Ensure the workplace is clean and tidy; follow all housekeeping procedures.

Job Purpose:

The Process Operator will be responsible for the monitoring of the extrusion process and product quality assigned to them by their Team Manager, whilst contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing function.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
  • Monitor and record the required process parameters at the required times.
  • Carry out relevant checks on assigned products as required by the product quality plan.
  • Record scrap information. Segregate all non-conforming product from good production.
  • Record all required information for all operations as per company works instructions/procedures.
  • Agree and complete training and development requirements as determined by the Team Manager and the training plan.
  • Shutdown extrusion machine (include emergency shutdown).
  • Fault rectification and problem solving.
  • Ensure workplace is clean and tidy – all housekeeping procedures followed associated with tasks.

Role Requirements:

  • Good level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Good ability with Microsoft software.
