Epwin Group is seeking an Extrusion Technician in the UK to manage the extrusion process from shutdown to tool change, including basic maintenance and fault rectification. You will monitor parameters, perform checks, record scrap, and communicate issues to the Team Manager to continuously improve production.

The role emphasizes adherence to health, safety, and quality standards, training, and collaboration within a skilled team to deliver quality PVC-U and roofline products.

Qualificações

• Basic level of numeracy and literacy.
• Ability to use a PC to an operational level.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous experience in an extrusion environment is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and record process parameters.
• Carry out checks on products per quality plan.
• Record scrap information and segregate non-conforming product.
• Communicate information via relevant channels.
• Record information for operations per works instructions/procedures.
• Alert relevant people to process and product concerns.
• Complete training and development requirements as determined by the Team Manager.
• Safeguard company property.
• Carry out product/tool changes as required.
• Shutdown extrusion machine (including emergency shutdown).
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace; follow housekeeping procedures.
• Install / uninstall extrusion tools.
• Carry out low level maintenance tasks.
• Fault rectification and problem solving.
• Transfer knowledge and skills within the team.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies.
• Develop good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel.
• Represent Epwin positively to protect the company image.

Job Purpose:The Extrusion Technician will be responsible for the product turnaround of the extrusion process from shutdown to tool change to start up, including basic maintenance. A key aspect of this role will be fault rectification and problem solving as assigned to them by their Team Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

• Monitor and record the required process parameters at the required times.
• Carry our relevant checks on assigned products as required by the product quality plan.
• Record scrap information. Segregate all non-conforming product from good production.
• Communicate information via the relevant communication channels.
• Record all required information for all operations as per company works instructions/procedures.
• Alert relevant people to process and product concerns.
• Agree and complete training and development requirements as determined by the Team Manager and the training plan.
• Safeguard property issued by the company.
• Carry out product changes as and when required.
• Shutdown extrusion machine (including emergency shutdown).
• Ensure workplace is clean and tidy – all housekeeping procedures followed, associated with tasks.
• Install / uninstall extrusion tools.
• Carry out low level maintenance tasks when required.
• Fault rectification and problem solving.
• Transfer the knowledge and skills among the team (others).
• Undertake reasonable duties as and when required.
• Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
• Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
• Represent the organisation in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute. Promote and Display the Epwin Core Values Key Experiences and Skills Required:
