Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland is seeking a Process Operative to ensure the efficient operation of our dairy processes from raw milk intake to final product output. You will monitor computerised systems, perform testing, and help maintain food safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role is full-time with a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern, based in Manchester. Salary is £35,013.05 per annum, with full-time hours (40.25 per week) and standard on-site working conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience working with computers in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience, ideally with food/beverage/FMCG.
• Able to work effectively as part of a fast-paced team.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor computerised production systems from intake through to finished product.
• Sample, test, and analyse raw materials and products.
• Load and unload tankers safely and efficiently.
• Record and maintain accurate process documentation.
• Perform laboratory testing and report results.
• Follow SOPs and food safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure product quality and compliance at every stage.

Do you have enjoy working with technology, monitoring processes, and being part of a team that keeps production running smoothly?

As a Process Operative, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our dairy processes, from raw milk intake through to final product output. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you’ll use computer-controlled systems to monitor and manage production processes, carry out quality testing, and help maintain the highest standards of food safety and product quality.

Contract: Full Time (40.25 hours per week)

Salary: £35,013.05 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern (2 days 2 nights)

Shift times:

• 7:00am to7:00pm
• 7:00pm to 7:00am

What will you be doing?

• Monitoring computerised production systems from intake through to finished product
• Sampling, testing, and analysing raw materials and products
• Loading and unloading tankers safety and efficiently
• Recording and maintaining accurate process documentation
• Performing laboratory testing and reporting results
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and food safety standards
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Ensuring product quality and compliance at every stage of the process

What Are We Looking For

• Have experience working with computers in a manufacturing, production, process, logistics, or operational environment
• Have previous manufacturing or production experience, ideally with food, beverage, FMCG.
• Can work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Have strong attention to detail, focus on continuous improvement and quality
