Job summary

IOSH is seeking a Business Process Improvement Lead to design and implement efficient processes across the organisation. You will liaise with stakeholders to understand current operations, map end-to-end processes, and develop sustainable improvements that boost efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.

The role requires proven experience in process improvement, strong stakeholder engagement and data-driven decision making, with Lean Six Sigma certification as an asset.

Job description

Hours per week: 35 (flexible working options considered in line with business needs)

Contract: 2 years fixed term

Location: At IOSH, we embrace hybrid working because we believe it's the key to achieving work-life balance, strategic success and fostering our collaborative culture. You’ll be required to work from our head office in Wigston, Leicester a minimum of 2 days per week . The remainder of your working hours will be undertaken from home.

About the role

This is an exciting new opportunity within IOSH to build our process improvement capability from the ground up. You’ll have the chance to make a true impact by helping us to find better, more efficient and effective ways of working. You’ll play a key part in analysing and improving business processes across the organisation to bring measurable benefits. You’ll actively take time to understand what our end-to-end business processes look like today by liaising with stakeholders across the business and understanding their requirements. Then using your expertise, you’ll design improved processes and ways of working that align with our needs and help increase efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about improving processes for customers and colleagues alike and embedding sustainable change. Within this role, you’ll play an active and influential role in shaping how IOSH works, whilst engaging stakeholders and driving buy in for maximum impact.

What you'll bring

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of leading business process improvement including operational or business transformation initiatives, that have embedded sustainable change. You will be confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels, and curious about how things currently work and able to constructively challenge existing ways of working.

Strong written and verbal communication skills will be essential. You’ll be able to analyse and communicate complex information clearly, produce insightful reports and recommendations, and confidently present proposed improvements to senior stakeholders.

You’ll be someone who doesn’t shy away from solving problems and coming up with solutions, someone who enjoys building relationships and working at pace to turn ideas into improvements that provide meaningful business benefit.

• Proven experience leading cross-functional business process improvement initiatives and supporting the adoptions of new ways of working.
• Proven experience in process improvement, operational, or business transformation initiatives.
• Experience of analysing, redesigning and implementing business processes across multiple functions.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and performance measures to drive improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation of information to senior leaders.
• Lean Six Sigma Certification or equivalent.
