HSEQ Advisor | Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality

We are seeking a proactive and motivated HSEQ Officer to support the development, implementation, and continual improvement of our Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems. This is a key role within the business, ensuring compliance with legislation, maintaining high operational standards, and promoting a positive safety culture across all branches.

About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and motivated HSEQ Officer to support the development, implementation, and continual improvement of our Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems. This is a key role within the business, ensuring compliance with legislation, maintaining high operational standards, and promoting a positive safety culture across all branches.

You will work closely with operational teams, managers, and senior leadership to drive best practice, support investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

If you enjoy solving problems, influencing positive change and making a visible impact across a multi-site business, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation where Health & Safety is genuinely valued.

About Us

At Safetykleen, we provide essential parts cleaning, waste collection and environmental advisory services that help customers reduce their environmental footprint and boost operational performance.

With operations in 15 countries and over 1 million services delivered each year, you'll be joining a stable, growing business with a fast-paced, high-impact and agile environment, where sustainability and long-term customer partnerships are at the heart of what we do.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Health & Safety leadership - Promote a proactive safety culture across all operations.
  • Management system support - Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 across all 19 branches.
  • Inspections & audits - Conduct workplace inspections, internal audits, and support external audit processes.
  • Incident investigation - Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Risk assessments - Support the completion, review, and improvement of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Compliance monitoring - Ensure adherence to company procedures and statutory requirements including HASAWA, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, RIDDOR and Fire Safety legislation.
  • Emergency preparedness - Assist with fire safety, evacuation procedures, and business continuity planning.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
What We Offer
  • £40,000 per annum
  • £3,900 car allowance
  • 25 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays
  • Private healthcare from day one

  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
  • Life assurance (3x salary)
  • Learning and career development opportunities

  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme
About You

You're an experienced HSEQ professional who enjoys being out in the business, building relationships and influencing positive change. You have a practical approach to Health & Safety, can confidently challenge where required and always look for solutions rather than simply identifying problems.

You’ll be highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities across a multi-site environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

  • Experience working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate.

  • Strong organisational and administrative ability.
  • Strong report writing and documentation skills.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Desirable
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.

When you join Safetykleen, you'll be part of a supportive, ambitious and growing business where your contribution, ideas and development genuinely matter.
