Job summary

MatWorks in Middleton, United Kingdom, is seeking a Product & Process Improvement Engineer to lead manufacturing improvement projects focused on reducing waste, energy use, and costs while boosting quality and efficiency.

You will collaborate with operations, apply Lean and Continuous Improvement methods, and drive process development trials, data interpretation, and contractor management across the site.

Qualifications

Engineering degree required.
Experience in manufacturing with improvement methodologies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to lead multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office is desirable.

Responsibilities

Apply Lean and Continuous Improvement to review processes and equipment for efficiency and safety.
Collaborate with operations to troubleshoot and improve production processes.
Interpret data from technical and operational teams.
Optimize processes for productivity, sustainability and efficiency.
Lead process development trials, simulations and report results.
Improve product margins through quality improvements and material evaluation.
Select and manage contractors for designated projects with strict EHS standards.
Coordinate with other Process Engineers, maintenance and production staff.
