Job summary

AWD Recruitment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvement across a busy Plymouth manufacturing environment. You will develop, improve and standardise processes, support New Product Introduction and lead CI projects.

You will work with Production and cross-functional teams, using Lean tools and data to boost efficiency, reduce waste and improve quality while complying with Health & Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or Level 6 qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with data-driven approach.
• Hands-on approach with practical engineering mindset.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve efficiency
• Develop, improve and standardise manufacturing processes
• Support NPI projects and introduce new products
• Analyse manufacturing data to identify improvements
• Maintain standard work, process maps and BOMs
• Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams
• Champion Lean principles while ensuring health and safety
• Provide practical engineering input to production teams
