Job summary

Yamazaki Mazak in Worcester is seeking a Process Engineer to optimise spindle service centre manufacturing and refurbishment processes. You will design, implement and refine production systems to improve efficiency, quality and cost control while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role involves data-driven process analysis, collaboration with teams, and training personnel on new processes and procedures, supporting business objectives and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and assemblies.
• Proven experience in process engineering and data-driven improvements.
• Experience with process optimization tools and statistical analysis.
• Ability to follow procedures and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform process analysis of existing manufacturing processes and recommend improvements.
• Design, test and implement manufacturing systems to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Apply process control techniques to ensure consistent quality.
• Collaborate to set up cost-effective, efficient production methods.
• Maintain and collect data of procedures to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Develop best practices and innovative solutions to improve production rates and reliability.
• Provide training and technical support on new processes and equipment.
• Report to management on changes affecting other departments.
• Map processes to support transition to D365.
