Yolk Recruitment is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for a well-established manufacturing business in the UK. The role focuses on driving process improvement, reducing waste and boosting production performance in a precision engineering environment.

You will work with Production, Operations and Quality to enhance capability and efficiency. The position combines hands-on engineering, root-cause analysis and project management, offering opportunities to influence processes and deliver

Competenze

• Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a production environment.
• Track record of delivering process improvements, reducing waste and costs.
• Practical use of lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues.
• Effective communication across engineering, production and quality teams.

Mansioni

• Monitor, develop and optimise manufacturing processes across the site to improve productivity and quality.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and costs through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply lean manufacturing tools to improve efficiency and drive best practices.
• Lead and coordinate process improvement projects with clear milestones and benefits.
• Support new product introduction including process development and initial production batches.
• Investigate manufacturing issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (SOPs, control plans, PFMEAs).
• Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to improve process control and conformity.
• Support capital investment projects from equipment spec to implementation.
• Establish equipment specifications and acceptance criteria to meet business requirements.
• Provide regular updates on project progress and improvements achieved.
