Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd in Exeter is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to join a production-focused engineering team. You will assess existing engineering processes, analyse data and collaborate with colleagues to implement practical improvements.

Key areas include 5S, TPM, OEE, and continuous improvement Kaizen events. A background in process/manufacturing engineering with knowledge of Lean tools and quality practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of process/manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
• Understanding of manufacturing systems, quality tools and their practical application.
• BSc / BEng in Engineering related discipline preferred, minimum BTEC Level III qualification in Engineering.
• High level of computer literacy (Word / Excel / Project / Minitab).

Responsibilities

• Drive efficient and consistent production by monitoring, maintaining and improving production processes.
• Support process manager with reporting of key metrics including Quality assurance, Quality Control and Product Development.
• Actively participate in the departments help-chain, to support with process related issues, investigate and diagnose manufacturing and quality deviations, equipment failures to root cause.
• Support collection and review of department specific process control data.
• Assist the process owner with the introduction and integration of new equipment.
• Participate in the departmental 5S regime,contributing to TPM implementation and OEE measurement and improvement for critical equipment.
• Actively engage in Continuous Improvement Kaizen events focused on process optimisation.
