Job summary

DK Recruitment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for an established engineering and manufacturing business in Somerset. The role is hands-on, focusing on developing, improving and optimising manufacturing processes and supporting the wider production operation.

You will design, develop and improve processes, optimise methods, identify improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality and cost, and provide practical engineering support to the team on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Hands-on manufacturing experience
• Machining, fabrication or engineering production background
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Practical, hands-on approach to improvements
• Ability to identify and implement shop floor improvements
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and improve manufacturing processes
• Optimise manufacturing methods and production processes
• Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality and cost
• Provide practical engineering support to the manufacturing team
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing and process issues
• Work closely with the shop floor to implement improvements
