This role involves managing commissioning activities for water and wastewater treatment plants and requires a strong background in chemical engineering. Role: Process Commissioning Engineer
Location: Bournemouth
Rate: Up to £550 p/d
Duration: 18 Months + /ongoing

Are you an experienced Process Commissioning Engineer in the water sector? Do you have a background in chemical management of Wastewater & water Recycling schemes?

We are seeking an experienced Process Commissioning Engineer to join a team attached to a major clean water supply project. This role is Outside IR35 and requires full-time availability on a Bournemouth Water site in Bournemouth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and managing the commissioning activities for water and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Developing detailed commissioning plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Carrying out site-based commissioning of process systems.
  • Optimizing system performance to meet design and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with designers, contractors, and project teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Conducting system testing, troubleshooting, and performance validation.
  • Delivering comprehensive handover documentation and training to end users.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in process commissioning, within the water/waste water industries.
  • Background and relevant qualification in Chemical Engineering.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and lead site-based activities.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with contractors and operations teams.
  • Comfortable with producing detailed reports and documentation.
